Luigi Tessarollo
With a career rich in high-profile collaborations—ranging from Tom Harrel to Lee Konitz, Stefano Bollani to Dado Moroni—Tessarollo has left a mark as a guitarist for RAI in the early 1980s, a performer with Gloria Gaynor, and a student of Indian music in Varanasi. He has recorded two LPs of Greek music and dedicated over 30 years to jazz as a guitarist, composer, and conservatory professor. Tessarollo has performed across the USA and Europe, released over 30 albums as leader or co-leader, and recorded approximately 80 original compositions. Notable collaborations include over a decade with saxophonist George Garzone, resulting in three albums, and projects with renowned artists like Barry Harris, Diane Schuur, Larry Schneider, and Slide Hampton. His prolific career includes tours with Stefano Bollani, Dado Moroni, and various ensembles, including performances in New York and representation of Italian jazz at events like the Grenoble Jazz Festival and the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin.
Fulvio Chiara
A composer and arranger, Chiara embraced the trumpet as a self-taught musician, initially exploring popular music before dedicating himself to jazz. Winner of multiple awards at the 1992 AMJ Grand Prix du Jazz, he participated in Umbria Jazz the same year. Chiara has collaborated with icons like Kenny Wheeler, George Russell, and Mike Gibbs and performed with notable artists such as Emanuele Cisi, Flavio Boltro, and Lee Konitz. His career spans performances with Tullio De Piscopo’s band, Rossana Casale’s sextet, and contributions to albums including Casale’s tribute to Billie Holiday.
Gledison Zabote
This Italo-Brazilian tenor saxophonist blends a sophisticated, melodic approach with authentic swing, reflecting his Brazilian heritage and jazz roots. A graduate with honors from the Turin Conservatory, Zabote has performed at international festivals and collaborated with artists like Furio di Castri and Hector Costita. His discography includes works like "Icefire" and "Soprando Baixo." Founder of the Joinville Jazz Big Band, Zabote’s current projects include the Icefire Quartet and other innovative ensembles.
Stefano Calcagno
A Genoa-born trombonist, Calcagno has had an extensive career in jazz, performing with major big bands and orchestras like the Torino Jazz Orchestra and the Bansigu Big Band. He has shared the stage with legendary figures like Dee Dee Bridgewater, Carla Bley, and Dionne Warwick and contributed to award-winning recordings with Dino Betti Van Der Noot’s orchestra.
Paul Zogno
A versatile and sought-after bassist from Turin, Zogno has performed on prominent stages like Montreux Jazz Festival and JazzAscona. His collaborations include performances with renowned artists such as Walter W. Whitman Jr. and Davell Crawford, showcasing his skill in both jazz and broader musical genres.
Francesco Parodi
An undeniable talent, Parodi began his studies under Nicola Stranieri and Stefano Bagnoli before pursuing jazz. He has performed at festivals like Siena Jazz and Time in Jazz, winning scholarships and collaborating with musicians like Emilio Soana and Sandro Gibellini. Currently studying percussion at the Turin Conservatory, Parodi continues to grow as a jazz drummer.
