Luke Winslow King: vocals, guitar, dobro
Roberto Luti: guitar
Originally from Cadillac, Michigan, Luke Winslow-King is a seasoned rock & roll guitarist, singer, producer, and songwriter. His work is an eclectic mix that combines Mississippi Delta blues, folk music, traditional jazz, roots rock & roll, and Americana. His alchemical songs blend contemporary ideas with styles from bygone eras, producing a sound that is both rustic and urban, elegant and entirely his own. After spending over 15 years in New Orleans and recording his 2008 album ("Old/New Baby") at Preservation Hall, he was named Best Blues Artist by Gambit Magazine. His 2018 hit, "I'm Glad Trouble Don't Last Always," is nearing 10 million streams on Spotify. His seventh album, "If These Walls Could Talk," recorded in Memphis in 2022, features Winslow-King alongside a stellar cast of blues, roots, and world music greats, including Rev. Charles Hodges (Al Green). The album represents an evolution of the bluesman's sound that is both reverent and bright. On a deep sonic foundation of Delta blues, so beloved by LWK, hopeful lyrics are fused with the energy of Midwestern rock that shaped his teenage years in Northern Michigan. "If These Walls Could Talk" was hailed as "Americana pop gold" by Glide Magazine and garnered 4.6 million streams in its first year. Like all of Winslow-King's work, "If These Walls Could Talk" brought rugged roots sounds to the forefront of modern artistic sensibility. In 2022, LWK was named a voting member of the Grammy Recording Academy. The Luke Winslow-King Band (featuring Roberto Luti) has been on a continuous tour for over 15 years, performing extensively across North America and Europe on notable festival stages such as Austin City Limits, New Orleans JazzFest, Azkena Rock Festival (Spain), Tønder Festival (Denmark), BBK Legends (Spain), Paradiso (Netherlands), Glastonbury (UK), Byron Bay Blues Fest (Australia), Maverick Festival (UK), and countless others. They have opened for acts like Jack White, Taj Mahal, Roseanne Cash, Tower of Power, Rebirth, and Greensky Bluegrass. Now residing in Spain, LWK continues his global quest, delivering honest, powerful, rustic, and authentic music both on stage and in the studio. The LWK Band includes Tuscan slide guitar maestro Roberto Luti, who, with his personal, unorthodox, angular, and evocative slide guitar style, made a name for himself during his nearly decade-long residency in New Orleans. LWK became an integral part of the international recording project Playing For Change, contributing to original tracks that have amassed over 100 million views on YouTube, collaborating with Taj Mahal, Keb Mo, Buddy Guy, Keith Richards, Ringo Starr, Manu Chao, Toots and the Maytalls, and Dr. John. Returning to our stage for the fourth time (absent since 2016), accompanied by the masterful Roberto Luti, LWK presents his eighth album "Flash-A-Magic", released in September 2024. The album features Rev. Charles Hodges and The Sensational Barnes Brothers from the acclaimed Oxford, Mississippi-based label Fat Possum Records, and was mixed by Grammy-winning engineer Collin DuPuis.
